WJBF Interview
AUGUSTA, Ga (WJBF)- A new transitional housing program for homeless or at risk male veterans and their children is coming to Augusta. The program, “Reclaiming My Manhood,” was launched by the Freddie Mae Foundation.
This program is the first of its kind, not only in Augusta, but in the state of Georgia.
The home is called “The Mulliens House” and will house up to three families at a time while they work to get on their feet.
One goal is to aid families struggling to adjust after getting out of the military. Christopher Mulliens, Founder of Freddie Mae Foundation, said there is very little support for members of the military to help them transition into civilian life.
